The Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati DKI Jakarta) has detained three suspects in the case of alleged corruption in the distribution of funds from one of the banks in Jakarta through KoinWorks, a fintech platform focused on UMKM financing.
“This detention has been in effect since Wednesday (6/5) for up to twenty days at Cipinang and Salemba Detention Centres,” said Head of the Legal Information Section of Kejati DKI Jakarta, Dapot Dariarma, in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
The three suspects are BAA, as Operational Director of PT LAT from 2021 to the present; BH, as President Director of PT LAT from 2015-2022 and Commissioner of PT LAT since 2022 to the present; and JB, as President Director of PT LAT from 2024 to the present.
Kejati DKI stated that the three suspects are executives of PT LAT, the owner of the KoinWorks fintech, who are alleged to have colluded in submitting and distributing financing unlawfully from one of the banks in Jakarta to several customers.
“They manipulated collateral in the form of invoices and failed to close insurance, resulting in the disbursement of credit amounting to approximately Rp600 billion,” Dapot Dariarma said.
