BRI: 16.46 million MSMEs utilise 'LinkUMKM' to expand market access
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, has revealed that as of April 2024, 16.46 million micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) players have utilised the LinkUMKM platform to expand market access, improve business capabilities, and accelerate their transition to larger-scale operations.
BRI Micro Director Akhmad Purwakajaya stated in Jakarta on Sunday that LinkUMKM was established to address the needs of entrepreneurs in accessing market information while improving business administration and management skills. This step is part of the company’s efforts to strengthen the people’s economy, aligning with President Prabowo’s ‘Asta Cita’ mission to build a self-sufficient economy and bolster the national MSME sector.
Through LinkUMKM, Akhmad explained, every entrepreneur has the opportunity to participate in high-quality training relevant to their business needs. As it continues to evolve, the LinkUMKM application has become a digital training tool designed to enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs across various regions in Indonesia.
“Within LinkUMKM, there are various features to help MSMEs continue to grow, such as modules, consultations with MSME experts, and various events organised every week. Business owners are certainly greatly assisted in managing their businesses for growth,” said Akhmad.
Currently, the platform offers six main features along with various supporting facilities, including UMKM Smart, Rumah BUMN, UMKM Media, Community, Digital Showcase, and Business Identification Number (NIB) registration services.
