Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Iran’s latest missile attack is reported to have struck Israel, on Thursday night local time or Friday morning in Indonesia (6 March 2025).

Large explosions occurred across Tel Aviv, with damage seen in central Israel.

Iran’s state television reported that Tehran had fired missiles ‘towards targets in the heart of Tel Aviv’ after the Israeli military said it was attempting to intercept the incoming fire.

AFP reporters in Tel Aviv described two waves of explosions almost simultaneously reverberating across the city, while rocket trails lit up the sky over Netanya, a city north of Tel Aviv on Israel’s Mediterranean coast.

Following the attack, Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA) said their teams had visited several affected sites but reported no fatalities.

MDA also released footage of a residential building in central Israel, showing a yard that appeared to have been hit, a tree toppled and other damage.

Israeli police said they were handling the scene involving falling projectiles. The military issued a statement urging people to leave protected areas.
