Breaking! US-Israel Kill Head of Intelligence for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that its intelligence chief was killed on Monday (6/4/2026). In a statement published via its official Telegram channel, it claimed Major General Majid Khademi fell in an attack described as a joint operation by the United States and Israel.
“Major General Majid Khademi, the strong and well-educated head of the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, fell in a criminal terrorist attack by the American-Zionist enemy… at dawn today,” read the IRGC statement.
Khademi is the latest prominent figure to be killed in an airstrike linked to the US and Israel. He had only taken up the position as IRGC intelligence chief in 2025, after his predecessor was also killed in an Israeli airstrike.
Over decades, Khademi had a career in intelligence and counter-espionage while rising through Iran’s security apparatus. Before his appointment as IRGC intelligence chief, he led the IRGC Intelligence Protection Organisation, an agency responsible for internal surveillance and counter-intelligence.
Additionally, Khademi had held several senior positions in Iran’s defence ministry, solidifying his reputation as one of the key figures in the country’s security network.
The IRGC’s intelligence unit itself is known as one of Iran’s most powerful security agencies. The organisation plays a central role in domestic surveillance to counter foreign influences and often operates in parallel with Iran’s civilian intelligence ministry.
