Breaking News! Trump Plans to Take Iran on Tuesday Night
US President Donald Trump has openly threatened military action, stating that his country is prepared to seize and cripple Iran in just one night. This aggressive statement arises amid peaking tensions related to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the success of a dramatic rescue operation for the crew of a downed US F-15 fighter jet in Iranian territory.
Trump emphasised the US military’s readiness to take extreme measures if Tehran does not immediately comply with the deadline to reopen the strategic shipping lane on Tuesday (07/04/2026). He claimed that his current combat forces are in an exceptionally strong condition and ready to launch a swift strike to take control of the situation.
“The entire country could be eliminated in one night, and that night might just happen tomorrow night,” Trump asserted, as quoted by The Guardian.
Prior to this latest threat, Trump had already issued stern warnings that the US would not hesitate to turn Iranian territory into a “hell” of ruins if the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz persists. Tensions reached a climax after Tehran ignored a series of international demands to free up this vital global oil distribution route.
Regarding the F-15 aircraft incident last week, Trump also celebrated the historic rescue of the second crew member who had been stranded in Iranian territory. He stated that he had ordered the armed forces to do whatever it takes to ensure the personnel returned safely home.
“We do not leave a single American behind,” Trump said.
Trump explained that both aircraft crew members managed to eject before the crash, but they landed directly in Iranian soil. The evacuation operation was dramatic, as the rescue team had to face fierce resistance from Iranian ground forces during the extraction process.
“The rescue team and the fighters in those aircraft took extraordinary risks to save their fellow service members,” Trump said.
In his statement, Trump mentioned that one of the rescue helicopters even sustained damage from enemy gunfire amid the firefight. He also revealed that the rescued pilot was in serious condition in an area controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
“That pilot had to climb a cliff while bleeding profusely to transmit his location,” Trump added.
To bring back that one pilot, the US military mobilised massive air power to the conflict zone. Trump detailed the deployment of 155 aircraft, four bombers, 64 fighter jets, 48 refuelling tankers, and 13 rescue aircraft to support the mission.
Trump concluded his remarks by affirming that the mission succeeded without any loss of life on the US side, even though the pilot had been stranded for nearly 48 hours in enemy territory. He claimed that his country’s military supremacy remains unmatched by any other in the world.
“We are the strongest military anywhere in the world, far surpassing the others,” Trump concluded.
