Breaking News! The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) Suddenly Plunges 2.04% to 8,153

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) weakened by 2.04% to 8,153. As many as 642 shares fell, 196 shares remained unchanged, and only 124 shares experienced an increase. Trading volume was recorded at 36.06 billion shares, with transaction frequency reaching 2.42 million, valued at Rp 20.44 trillion.

Earlier this morning, the IHSG opened up 29.13 points or 0.35% to 8,351.36 in trading today, Thursday (February 26, 2026). As many as 300 shares rose, 150 fell, and 519 did not move. The transaction value reached Rp 726.4 billion, involving 1 billion shares in 102,900 transactions. Market capitalization also increased to Rp 14,970 trillion.

However, just a few minutes after the opening of trading, the IHSG’s gains were eroded and even briefly weakened slightly or by 0.06%.
