Breaking News: Prabowo Appoints Nanik Deyang as Head of National Nutrition Agency
President Prabowo Subianto has appointed Nanik Sudaryati Deyang as the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). Nanik, who previously served as deputy head, replaces Dadan, who was dismissed by President Prabowo.
The decision was announced by the Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, during a press conference in the Cabinet Meeting Room, Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/6/2026).
“The President has decided to appoint Ms Nanik S. Deyang as the new head of the BGN,” said Prasetyo.
On the same occasion, he also announced the appointment of two new deputy heads of the BGN: Agustina Arumsari and Major General TNI Trenggono. They replace Lodewijk Pusung and Sony Sanjaya, who were also dismissed by Prabowo.
“We hope that the three new leaders of the BGN can immediately undertake internal consolidation, strengthen cross-ministerial and institutional coordination, enhance coordination with both provincial and district/city local governments, and ensure that all BGN programmes can continue to run as effectively as possible,” Prasetyo stated.
He further expressed hope that the new leadership could accelerate the implementation of priority programmes, improve performance, enhance organisational governance, and deliver tangible benefits to the public, particularly in efforts to improve nutrition, health, and the quality of Indonesia’s human resources.
