Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) continued to fall, plunging 3.02% to 5,760.33. As many as 547 shares weakened, 321 shares remained stagnant, and only 88 shares rose.

The frequency of transactions reached 397,900, with a trading volume of 5.23 billion shares, valued at IDR 3.38 trillion.

At the start of trading, the IHSG opened at 5,919.57. However, selling pressure dominated again, causing the index to fall further to 5,874.70, or a decrease of 66.37 points (-1.12%). In morning trading, the IHSG briefly touched a high of 5,924.51 and a low of 5,873.00.

The majority of shares are still moving in the red zone. As many as 334 shares weakened, while only 107 shares strengthened and 518 shares moved sideways.

The value of transactions at the start of trading reached IDR 470.1 billion, with a trading volume of 580.2 million shares changing hands in 64,080 transactions.

Pressure in the market also further reduced the market capitalization of the stock exchange to IDR 10,311 trillion.

For the record, in the previous trading session, the IHSG closed down 4.11% to 5,941.07, after foreign investors recorded net sales of almost IDR 1 trillion and about 75% of shares ended in the red zone.
