Jakarta — General (retired) Try Sutrisno, Indonesia’s sixth Vice President, has passed away. The news was conveyed by the Communication Team of the Association of Army Retirees (PPAD), Egy Massadiah, in a message to CNBC Indonesia this morning.

“I received information from Major General (retired) Doctor Komaruddin Simanjuntak as the Chairman of PPAD, who has been monitoring Try’s health at the hospital,” said Egy.

According to information gathered, Try passed away at Gatot Soebroto Central Military Hospital in Central Jakarta on Monday, 2 March 2026, at 06:58 WIB.

“The body will be washed at the RSPAD funeral home and will be taken to the funeral home at Jalan Purwakarta Number 6, Menteng, Central Jakarta,” wrote a message from the extended family of the late Try Sutrisno.

“We ask forgiveness for all faults and errors of the late during his lifetime. May the good deeds of the late be accepted by Allah Almighty. We request prayers from all of you so that the late finds the best place with Him.”
