Brazilian President Criticises Donald Trump, References Threatening Tweets
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has strongly criticised US President Donald Trump. He also alluded to Trump’s tweets. According to Al-Jazeera on Saturday (18/4/2026), Lula called on the five permanent members of the UN Security Council to change the direction of their policies regarding the failure to stop the conflict in the Middle East. Lula then criticised Trump. He was astonished that Trump routinely posts threatening messages on social media. “We cannot wake up every morning and go to sleep every night with tweets from a president who threatens the world and declares war,” he said at an international summit of progressive leaders in Barcelona. It is known that Trump often posts messages on his Truth Social social media platform. In the war with Iran, he routinely reports developments in the Iran war through his social media.
