Brawl Between SMAN 5 and 2 Bandung Students Goes Viral, Police Hunt Perpetrators

A video recording showing a violent brawl between students from SMAN 5 and SMAN 2 Bandung on Jalan Cihampelas in Bandung has gone viral on social media. The incident occurred on the night of Friday, 13 March 2026, extending into the early hours of Saturday, 14 March 2026.

The circulating video footage shows students engaged in a violent clash and mass brawl. One young man is visible lying on the side of the road.

When contacted for confirmation, Coblong Police Sector Chief Police Major Riki Erickson confirmed that a brawl between students from SMAN 5 Bandung and SMAN 2 Bandung had taken place on Friday, 13 March 2026. As a result of the incident, one SMAN 5 Bandung student died.

“Preliminary indications point to a clash between SMAN 5 Bandung and SMAN 2 Bandung students,” he stated on Saturday, 14 March 2026.

He reported that one person had died as a result of the incident, specifically a student from SMAN 5 Bandung. The incident occurred on the night of Friday, 13 March 2026, extending into Saturday, 14 March 2026.

“Yes, an SMAN 5 Bandung student has died,” he said.

He indicated that the case is currently being handled by Bandung City Police Headquarters. “It is being handled at the City Police Headquarters,” he stated.
