Brantas Abipraya Cuts 29 Entities to Refocus on Contracting Business

PT Brantas Abipraya is nearing the completion of a process to prune 29 of its business entities. This initiative is part of the company’s transformation strategy to return its focus to its core business as a contractor.

“I hope that once this cleansing process is finished, the company will truly focus on the contracting business. Brantas will remain as the parent company, and this includes being one of the healthiest companies,” stated the Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, in an official statement confirmed from Jakarta on Thursday (3/9/2026).

Dony met with the board of directors of PT Brantas Abipraya to discuss the progress of the transformation process and the restructuring of the company’s business entities.

Through this streamlining process, Brantas Abipraya will simplify its business structure by retaining only the parent company and terminating the existence of subsidiaries deemed no longer necessary to support its primary business focus.

Dony believes this step serves as a momentum for Brantas Abipraya to strengthen the company’s fundamentals and increase its focus on the contracting business. He also encouraged Brantas to be one of the state-owned construction companies (BUMN Karya) to complete the restructuring process most rapidly.

The transformation of Brantas Abipraya is part of a comprehensive restructuring agenda for state-owned construction companies. The simplification of the business structure is expected to reduce inefficiency, strengthen governance, and make the company more focused and competitive in conducting its core business.

As of 31 July 2026, a total of 274 state-owned enterprises and their subsidiaries have been restructured through processes of liquidation, merger, and divestment.
