Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) has completed the construction of the Integrated People’s School in Cirebon Regency, which has now entered its operational stage, marked by the holding of the School Environment Orientation Period (MPLS) for pupils as the start of learning activities.

Corporate Secretary of PT Brantas Abipraya, Dian Sovana, said the completion of the Cirebon SRT was a tangible manifestation of the company’s commitment to delivering quality educational infrastructure that provides direct benefits to the community.

“We are grateful that the construction of the Cirebon Integrated People’s School has been completed and has now entered its operational stage, marked by the start of the School Environment Orientation Period,” Dian said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.

Brantas Abipraya reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the equal distribution of access to national education through the completion of the Integrated People’s School (SRT) in Cirebon Regency.

Entering the operational stage, the school officially began its MPLS activities on Friday (31 July), marking the start of learning activities for its pupils. Previously, on 30 July 2026, pupils had been present at the school to undergo the registration process.

Subsequently, all pupils took part in the MPLS series as part of their adaptation to the new learning environment and the beginning of operations of the Integrated People’s School in Cirebon Regency.

He expressed hope that the presence of Integrated People’s School 1 in Cirebon Regency, located in Silayur Block, Kaliwadas Village, Sumber Subdistrict, would widen access to quality education, particularly for those in need, while also serving as an effort to improve the quality of human resources in the Ciayumajakuning region.

“For us, the success of this project is not only about completing the construction work, but also about providing educational facilities that are safe, comfortable and of high quality to support the emergence of an excellent next generation of the nation,” said Dian.

In terms of design, the People’s School adopts an integrated boarding school concept with uniform facilities across Indonesia. The educational complex comprises primary, junior secondary and senior secondary school buildings, teacher apartment blocks, student dormitories, a mosque and multipurpose hall, a canteen and sports facilities such as mini soccer and basketball pitches.

The model is designed to create an integrated learning environment whilst supporting the character development of pupils.

Furthermore, Dian said the construction of the People’s School was part of Brantas Abipraya’s contribution to supporting the government’s agenda of improving the quality of human resources through the provision of modern, inclusive and sustainable educational infrastructure.

“We believe that the development of educational infrastructure is a long-term investment in the future of the nation,” he said.

He added that the company would continue to deliver its best works, not only building physical structures but also creating real social impact through improved quality of education and equal learning opportunities for the Indonesian people.
