Brantas Abipraya Accelerates Gene Bank Construction to Support National Health Transformation
PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) is continuing its support for the transformation of the national health system through the construction of the Indonesian Gene Bank (National Genomics Bank) at the Dr. H. Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital (RSMM) complex in Bogor City. Corporate Secretary Dian Sovana explained that this project involves a much higher level of complexity compared to conventional building construction. “The Gene Bank Indonesia is designed with special standards to support genetic material storage systems, genomics research laboratories, and large-capacity data processing facilities,” Dian said in a statement on Monday, 22 June 2026. “This project demands not only high technical precision but also the implementation of strict security and environmental control systems to maintain the long-term stability of biological samples.” According to Dian, Brantas Abipraya’s involvement in the construction of the Gene Bank serves as tangible evidence of the company’s role in supporting the government’s priority agenda in the health sector, while simultaneously strengthening the foundation of the national research and innovation ecosystem. “Through this strategic project, Brantas Abipraya is not only building physical infrastructure but also helping to lay the foundation for the advancement of science and the health of future generations,” Dian stated. “We ensure that every construction phase is carried out with a focus on quality, occupational safety, and timeliness so that the benefits can be sustainably felt by the Indonesian people.” As part of the oversight and control of this strategic project, the Board of Commissioners of Brantas Abipraya conducted a Management Walkthrough to ensure work progress aligns with the established targets, quality, and standards, while prioritising Occupational Health and Safety (K3) aspects. The visit was attended by President Commissioner Diana Kusumastuti, Independent Commissioners Isra D. Pramulya and Santoso, accompanied by Director of Operations II Mustafa Nahdi and SVP of Operations Division I Tintus Noviyanto. During the visit, the Commissioners directly inspected the construction progress and ensured the optimal implementation of quality and safety standards across all project areas. This Management Walkthrough is part of the company’s commitment to maintaining good project governance, ensuring work quality, and supporting the timely completion of the project.
