BRAHMA AI and Hakuhodo Technologies have announced a strategic partnership to develop, commercialise, and deploy high-fidelity digital humans on a corporate scale across Japan and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), establishes a joint framework to combine BRAHMA AI’s advanced AI-based digital human technology with the deep creative expertise, client networks, and market leadership of the Hakuhodo DY Group in Japan and APAC. The partnership will focus on developing and deploying advanced digital human technology powered by artificial intelligence, including interactive models; providing AI-based products and services tailored to the Japanese market; marketing lifelike digital humans called ATMAN to corporate clients; creating new narrative formats, branded content, and immersive customer experiences; integrating ATMAN digital humans into campaigns and platforms led by the Hakuhodo DY Group; and expanding deployment across various industry sectors and among intellectual property rights holders in Japan and the APAC region. Core creative and technical teams from both organisations will work closely together to drive concept development and produce high-quality content rich in cultural nuance. The partnership builds on the success of previous collaborations, notably the debut of a digital replica of Hibari Misora, created using proprietary ATMAN AI models trained on historical video and audio recordings. The digital performer appeared on a BS Nippon TV special programme titled ‘Hibari Misora Returns in the Reiwa Era’, broadcast on 7–8 January 2026, alongside contemporary artists. This project demonstrated the creative and commercial potential of high-fidelity digital humans in modern media. Through this partnership, the parties aim to accelerate corporate adoption of digital human technology, establish a new category of AI-based communication through ATMAN digital humans, provide culturally adaptive, high-fidelity digital humans designed specifically for regional markets, and unlock scalable business opportunities across sectors ranging from media and entertainment to retail and communications. BRAHMA AI will provide core AI technology and the ATMAN digital human system, lead innovation in high-fidelity digital human development, and support corporate-level deployment and capacity building. Hakuhodo Technologies will lead client integration, creative direction, and market launch, provide access to corporate clients throughout Japan and the APAC region, and contribute creative strategy, production capabilities, and localisation expertise. Looking ahead, the partnership will expand joint initiatives across Japan and the broader APAC region, focusing on new visual formats and creative applications, deeper integration into corporate workflows to deploy ATMAN digital humans, co-development and co-commercialisation opportunities, and scalable, content-driven business models leveraging ATMAN digital humans. Prabhu Narasimhan, CEO of BRAHMA AI, stated that digital humans mark a fundamental shift in how brands and audiences interact, and the partnership with Hakuhodo enables the delivery of culturally nuanced, high-quality digital characters at enterprise scale across APAC. Jo Plaete, CTO of BRAHMA AI, noted that by combining the creative heritage of the Hakuhodo DY Group with BRAHMA AI’s technological innovation, they are building a new category of communication, allowing brands to explore entirely new forms of expression through digital humans. Ken Matsuzaki, Creative Technologist at Hakuhodo Technologies, said BRAHMA AI’s remarkable digital human technology has been instrumental in advancing their creative initiatives, and through this fusion of innovation and expertise, they aim to strengthen cooperation and deliver greater value to clients across Japan and the APAC region. BRAHMA AI is an enterprise AI content platform that enables organisations to create, manage, and distribute AI-powered media through BRAHMA AI Studio and BRAHMA AI Core, built on the Mind² foundation and delivering industry-leading quality, reliability, and governance.
