Bandarlampung — The head of the Lampung Class II Land Transport Management Centre (BPTD) stated that based on a Minimum Service Standard (SPM) inspection, Bakauheni Port in South Lampung is ready to serve passengers during the 2026 Eid holiday exodus.

“In preparation and to ensure that facilities and infrastructure at Bakauheni Port during the Eid holiday period meet the required criteria, a Minimum Service Standard inspection was conducted some time ago,” said Jonter Sitohang, head of the Lampung Class II BPTD, in Bandarlampung on Saturday.

He noted that the Minimum Service Standard inspection at Bakauheni Port was conducted at two wharves: the executive wharf and the regular wharf.

“The executive wharf received a rating of 95.89, which falls into the very good category, whilst the regular wharf received a rating of 86.65, which falls into the good category,” he said.

He explained that with these Minimum Service Standard ratings, Bakauheni Port’s facilities and infrastructure are ready to handle the 2026 Eid holiday crossing operations.

“For readiness at Bakauheni Port, there are a total of 31 personnel available to serve. The daily transport capacity under normal operations is 22,164 vehicles, with normal operational patterns involving four ships or wharves,” he said.

He continued that dense and ultra-dense operational patterns have also been developed to ensure good service delivery at Bakauheni Port during the 2026 Eid holiday exodus.

“We have also implemented zoning at Bakauheni Port to ensure more optimal passenger movement. This way, vehicles will flow smoothly and pedestrian passengers will not experience congestion when boarding ships,” he added.
