BPS Releases 2026 Hajj Satisfaction Index, Minister Hails 'Extraordinary' Service
Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochammad Irfan Yusuf stated that the 2026 Hajj Satisfaction Index (IKLHI) reached 83.28 percent, placing it in the ‘satisfactory’ category, and serves as proof that service transformation is being felt by pilgrims. “Alhamdulillah, this year’s Hajj implementation has been extraordinary. Thank you to the President for establishing the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. Many have long assessed that the organisation of the Hajj has been improving based on field observations,” said Minister Irfan Yusuf at the BPS Building in Jakarta on Thursday.
Gus Irfan, as he is known, said that improvements in Hajj organisation had previously been assessed mostly qualitatively, but these improvements are now supported by quantitative data through a survey by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). During a transition period of around three to four months, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah prepared the Hajj implementation by involving approximately 7,000 personnel across Indonesia.
“Alhamdulillah, we were able to provide the best possible service to the pilgrims. This is the fruit of prayers and the hard work of all ranks,” said the Minister. He expressed his appreciation to all Ministry of Hajj and Umrah personnel, Hajj officers, and all stakeholders involved in the 1447 Hijri/2026 Hajj implementation.
“These results are our capital to continue improving. Our challenge is not just to maintain this achievement, but to enhance it. Our principle is simple: today must be better than yesterday,” said Minister Irfan. He added that President Prabowo Subianto’s directive also serves as a foundation for future Hajj development, specifically to ensure that the benefits of Hajj implementation are increasingly felt by the public. One of these measures is through strengthening the use of Indonesian products and consumables in the Hajj supply chain.
