BPS Opens Large-Scale Recruitment for 2026 Economic Census Partners: Check Requirements and Schedule
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has officially opened recruitment for Statistical Partners to support the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census (SE). Registration for the general public interested in joining as field officers has been open online since 8 May 2026. Given the crucial importance of data accuracy in the Economic Census, BPS has set specific qualifications for prospective applicants. This recruitment is open to civilians and is explicitly not intended for Civil Servants (ASN). Applicants are prioritised to be aged between 18 and 50 years, with a minimum educational background of high school or equivalent, although university graduates or students are highly encouraged to apply. One important point in this selection is the domicile aspect. Applicants are required to reside in the selected data collection area to facilitate coordination and mastery of the field during surveys. In addition, prospective partners must have high commitment, discipline, and the ability to drive motorised vehicles. Because the 2026 Economic Census data collection system will be conducted digitally, prospective partners are required to have a smartphone device with certain minimum specifications.
