BPS Launches 2026 Economic Census, Deploys Thousands of Enumerators

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Aceh Province has deployed 5,328 enumerators as part of a nationwide force of 251,000 officers to record various economic activities. The 2026 Economic Census, taking place from 15 June to 31 August 2026, aims to collect data on everything from household businesses, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), traditional markets, food stalls, and grocery shops to large companies. Enumerators were observed conducting data collection at MSME production sites for wooden fish and duck farming businesses in Lambaro Skep, Banda Aceh.
