BPS Klungkung to Assist Villages and Social Services in Rectifying Social Assistance Decile Data

The Klungkan Regency Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) is prepared to back up village authorities and the Social Services Department (Dinsos) in processing the update of social assistance (bansos) decile data for problematic residents. This step is being taken to ensure that the decile, or the grouping of community welfare levels within the National Socio-Economic Integrated Data (DTSEN), becomes more precisely targeted.

Dirga emphasised that the situation regarding decile data in Klungkung Regency remains conducive. The minimal public unrest regarding social assistance is supported by good coordination between village governments, the Social Services Department, and BPS.

“In Klungkung, the calculations are relatively safe and stable. Even if there are complaints regarding problematic deciles, the number is very small; only one or two residents have come to check so far, and we have immediately assisted with the necessary handling,” said the Head of BPS Klungkung, Anak Agung Gede Dirga Kardita, when met by detikBali on Monday (31/8/2026).

Dirga explained that inaccuracies in field decile data are fundamentally possible. This is triggered by the process of merging three large datasets (Regsosek, P3KE, and DTKS), where the national data update has only reached approximately 33 per cent.

“According to the regulations in Ministry of Social Affairs Regulation Number 3 of 2025, the responsibility for data updates lies with the villages and the Social Services Department. However, BPS is present to provide full backup if there are residents or village authorities conducting checks on problematic decile data,” he explained.

He added that socialisation regarding the data correction mechanism has been conveyed to all village heads (perbekel) and sub-district heads (lurah) throughout Klungkung Regency. Village authorities are considered capable as they are supported by village operators who manage the SIKS-NG application.

4 Procedures for Correcting Problematic Decile Data

BPS Klungkung detailed four data update schemes that the public can undertake if they find an incorrect decile.

First, residents can use an offline route by visiting the Village/Sub-district Operator. Residents experiencing data issues can go directly to their local village office to be corrected by the operator via SIKS-NG.

Second, residents can visit the Regency Social Services Department: submitting data correction requests through the hierarchical process to the Klungkung Social Services Office.

Third, residents can access self-service online options by utilising the Cek Bansos application, the DTSEN update feature, or the official Ministry of Social Affairs call centre services.

Lastly, BPS Klungkung assistance: BPS provides consultation and decile data checking services for residents or village officials who require data backup.
