BPS confirms Economic Census in North Minahasa proceeding smoothly

Manado (ANTARA) - The Deputy Head of the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi, has ensured that the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census (SE 2026) in North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province, is proceeding well.

“I want to ensure that the implementation of SE 2026 in North Minahasa is running smoothly,” said Sonny during a working visit to the North Minahasa BPS Office on Tuesday.

He stated that this visit was intended to assess the condition of the regional office and human resources, as well as to monitor the progress of the 2026 Economic Census in North Minahasa.

“Economic census officers will visit every household to collect data; no family will be bypassed,” he said.

He added that even though some residents live on islands, everyone will be recorded without exception.

Furthermore, according to the Governor of North Sulawesi, Yulius Selvanus, there are hundreds of islands within the province.

Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi, Deputy Head of BPS, alongside North Sulawesi Governor Yulius Selvanus, officially launched the SE 2026 programme in North Sulawesi.

The Governor urged the public to welcome the census officers and provide accurate data.

“Welcome the officers, fill out the data correctly, and do not worry, as confidentiality is guaranteed,” said Yulius.
