BPS confirms Economic Census in North Minahasa proceeding smoothly

Deputy Chief of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi has confirmed that the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census (SE 2026) in North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province, is proceeding well. “I want to ensure that the implementation of SE2026 in North Minahasa is going well and smoothly,” said Sonny during a working visit to the North Minahasa BPS Office on Tuesday. He stated that the visit was not only to observe the condition of the office and human resources in the region but also to monitor the execution of SE 2026 in North Minahasa. “Economic census officers will visit every household to collect data; not a single family will be missed,” he said. He added that even communities located on the islands will all be recorded without exception, especially given that North Sulawesi Governor Yulius Selvanus noted there are hundreds of islands in the province. The Deputy Chief of BPS, together with Governor Yulius Selvanus, launched the SE 2026 in North Sulawesi. The Governor appealed to the public to welcome the census officers and provide real data. “Receive the officers, fill in the data properly, and do not worry, confidentiality is guaranteed,” said Yulius.
