Statistics Indonesia (BPS) has conducted data collection for the 2026 Economic Census on the Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) of the Republic of Indonesia, Ahmad Muzani.

“This is evidence that the MPR Speaker wishes to participate in the economic census, and he answered the questions very cooperatively,” said BPS Head Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti during the Public Expose on 2026 Economic Census Data Collection in Jakarta on Friday.

On that occasion, she urged all Indonesian citizens to encourage their relatives, families and neighbours to participate in the 2026 Economic Census conducted by BPS.

Amalia assured that the data collected by BPS will be kept confidential. “We also guarantee that this has nothing to do with taxation,” she said.

For members of the public who wish to complete the census independently, the agency has prepared an online questionnaire that can be requested from officers.

“We answered according to the capacity we have and, thank God, the process went well. We hope this will also serve as a way for the state to understand the economic activities of its population, so that future policies will be based on accurate data and figures,” she said.

“We would like to express our thanks. I hope this activity runs smoothly and is followed by as many Indonesian citizens as possible. As proof that we have been enumerated, we have affixed a sticker showing that this house and its occupants have been counted in the census,” said Muzani.
