The Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is developing a scheduled measurement service to provide greater certainty to the public, ranging from waiting times for measurements to the process of completing measurement products, specifically Land Parcel Maps (PBT).

“This Scheduled Measurement service provides an opportunity for the public to determine the measurement date themselves through the available scheduling slots of surveyors,” said the Director General of Land and Spatial Survey and Mapping (Ditjen SPPR) of ATR/BPN, Virgo Eresta Jaya, in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.

He noted that the implementation of the Scheduled Measurement service is currently operational in 466 Land Offices (Kantah) throughout Indonesia.

With Scheduled Measurement, the public first selects an available date according to their preferred time. On that date, surveyors will visit the field to conduct the measurement.

“On the chosen date, surveyors will arrive at the field or the applicant’s location according to the predetermined schedule,” he said.

The Director General of SPPR also urged the public to ensure that the boundaries of their land parcels are clear before submitting a measurement application. One method that can be employed is installing fences or boundary markers.

“If you own land, fence it. At the very least, install boundary markers and maintain the boundaries because that is the key. Measurement is simply measuring the fence or the markers,” he said.

In addition to ensuring land boundaries, the public is also requested to ensure they are present or available at the location during the measurement at the selected time. Necessary administrative requirements must also be prepared before surveyors arrive on-site. This is crucial to ensure the measurement process proceeds according to the scheduled time.

“We want to move quickly; we want to serve the public rapidly. However, the public must also assist us by preparing the necessary requirements so that the process is easy and smooth. Therefore, we ask the public to help us so that ATR/BPN can serve you all better,” he added.
