BPKP: 2027 Budget Set at IDR 2.19 Trillion
The budget consists of two main components: a development oversight programme amounting to IDR 5.67 billion and management support totalling IDR 1.62 trillion.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, stated that the budget outlined in the BPKP Work Plan and Budget (RKA) for the 2027 Fiscal Year is IDR 2.19 trillion.
“It consists of two parts: a development oversight programme of IDR 5.67 billion and management support of IDR 1.62 trillion,” Ateh said during a Working Meeting with Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR), according to an official statement in Jakarta on Friday.
For 2027, the BPKP budget allocation is directed towards development oversight programmes and management support for oversight, including technical oversight requirements and capacity building.
Ateh explained that one of BPKP’s work plans involves overseeing current issues, targeting several of the government’s priority programmes. These include the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Programme, the implementation of the Garuda Superior Senior High School; People’s Schools; and the development and operation of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperatives.
Furthermore, the scope includes the Merah Putih Fishing Village; the development and revitalisation of early childhood, primary, and secondary education units; education digitalisation; the development and revitalisation of community health centres (Puskeslar) and health laboratories; as well as the eradication of poverty pockets.
From a state finance perspective, oversight is directed towards strengthening financial accountability through the optimisation of state revenue, improving the quality of central, regional, and village government spending, managing separated state and regional assets, and optimising government financial financing.
BPKP’s 2027 oversight also places human resource development as a primary focus, specifically within the education, health, and social protection sectors.
“BPKP will also encourage oversight of economic growth and community empowerment. The focus includes increasing the productivity of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), industrial downstreaming, strengthening infrastructure, and the governance of mining and palm oil plantations within forest areas, including the strengthening of national energy security as a foundation for sustainable economic growth,” he said.
In the food sector, oversight is directed towards ensuring increased food production while maintaining food affordability and availability for the public.
Budgetary support for the development oversight programme is also aimed at strengthening government internal controls, fraud prevention, increasing the capability of Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP), and managing the government’s digital transformation.
“Additionally, for management support in oversight, BPKP has also budgeted for personnel expenses, goods and services, as well as capital expenditure,” he added.
