BPKH Transfers 70.95% of Hajj Costs Worth Trillions, Liquidity Ensured Secure
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) has assured that funding readiness for organising the Hajj pilgrimage in 1447 H/2026 AD remains well-maintained.
As of 8 April 2026, BPKH has realised the transfer of Hajj Pilgrimage Organisation Cost (BPIH) funds amounting to Rp 12.92 trillion, or 70.95% of the total budget of Rp 18.21 trillion, to the Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj).
The fund disbursement was carried out as a follow-up to the official request from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, while also serving as an indicator of BPKH’s preparedness in supporting the Hajj organisation in a timely and measured manner.
The Head of the BPKH Executive Agency, Fadlul Imansyah, emphasised that this achievement reflects a strong liquidity position.
“This realisation of 70.95% reflects BPKH’s liquidity readiness in supporting the Hajj pilgrimage organisation in a timely and measured way. All management is conducted carefully and professionally to ensure the needs of pilgrims are optimally fulfilled,” he stated in his comments in Jakarta on Saturday (11/4/2026).
The fund transfers were made in three main currencies, namely Saudi Riyal (SAR), Rupiah (IDR), and US Dollar (USD).
This approach was taken to ensure flexibility in cross-border payments while controlling the risks of exchange rate fluctuations.
In detail, the transfer progress as of 8 April 2026 includes disbursements in SAR currency at 93.73%, Rupiah at 42.01%, and US Dollars at 35.17% of the respective total requirements. Overall, the realisation reaches 70.95% assuming an exchange rate of Rp16,500 per US Dollar and Rp4,400 per Riyal.
