JAKARTA — The Head of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), Fadlul Imansyah, stated that Hajj fund management is conducted to provide benefits to pilgrims, such as reduced Hajj costs and provision of living expenses during their stay in the Holy Land. This management adheres to principles of prudence and Sharia without compromise.

The Hajj funds deposited by pilgrims are not merely stored but managed in a Sharia-compliant, transparent, and professional manner to generate optimal benefits for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims.

“The Hajj funds managed by BPKH are not only safeguarded but also optimised in accordance with Sharia to deliver value benefits to pilgrims. It is this value benefit that helps keep Hajj costs more rational and eases the burden on pilgrims,” said BPKH Head Fadlul Imansyah in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Friday.

Through BPKH’s management of Hajj funds, he continued, pilgrims receive various direct financial entitlements.

He explained that for the 1447 Hijriyah/2026 Hajj pilgrimage, the average Hajj Implementation Cost (BPIH) is recorded at Rp 87,409,365 per person. Of this amount, the average Hajj Travel Cost (Bipih) paid by prospective pilgrims is Rp 54,193,806, while the remainder is supported by the value benefits from Hajj fund management amounting to Rp 33,215,559.
