Lampung has become a strategic departure point as it is the only location for the programme’s implementation on the island of Sumatra. Bandarlampung (ANTARA) - The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) facilitated 675 people from Lampung Province to return to Java during the 2026 Lebaran reverse flow through the free Balik Kerja Bareng Programme. “Today, we are sending off 675 migrants from Lampung; this programme represents BPKH’s commitment to providing tangible benefits to the ummah, particularly in helping to alleviate the financial burden on migrants during the reverse flow,” said BPKH Executive Board Member Acep Riana Jayaprawira in Bandarlampung on Monday. He stated that 15 executive buses were deployed to assist the public in returning to work after the Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah/Lebaran 2026 holidays. He explained that all participants receive free facilities including executive-class buses, meals, and travel accessories. “The funds used come from the benefits of managing the Ummah Endowment Fund (DAU), not from the hajj principal funds, so the principles of prudence and utility are maintained,” he said. “The high enthusiasm of the public is evident from the number of registrants exceeding 11,000 people across Indonesia,” he added. He hopes that through the 2026 BPKH Balik Kerja Bareng Programme, it can continue to deliver direct benefits to the public while strengthening the role of ummah fund management that is trustworthy, transparent, and has real social impact.
