BPKH Explains the Value of Hajj Fund Management Benefits for Pilgrims
Makassar (ANTARA) - The Head of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), Fadlul Imansyah, stated that the management of hajj funds is conducted to provide benefits to pilgrims, such as reduced pilgrimage costs and living expenses during their stay in the Holy Land, without neglecting principles of prudence and sharia compliance.
The hajj funds deposited by pilgrims are not merely stored but managed in a sharia-compliant, transparent, and professional manner to generate optimal benefits for Indonesian hajj pilgrims.
“The hajj funds managed by BPKH are not only safeguarded but also optimised in accordance with sharia principles to deliver value benefits for pilgrims. These value benefits help maintain reasonable hajj costs and alleviate the burden on pilgrims,” said BPKH Head Fadlul Imansyah in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Friday.
Through BPKH’s management of hajj funds, pilgrims receive various direct financial entitlements.
From that amount, the average Hajj Worship Travel Cost (Bipih) paid by prospective pilgrims is Rp54,193,806, while the remainder is covered by value benefits from hajj fund management amounting to Rp33,215,559.
Additionally, pilgrims receive other financial entitlements in the form of living expenses of 750 Saudi Riyals, equivalent to around Rp3.4 million per person.
Pilgrims also obtain value benefits recorded in their respective Virtual Accounts (VA), which can be used to assist in settling hajj costs.
He stated that these value benefits represent the returns from sharia-compliant hajj financial management by BPKH.
The management of hajj funds adheres to principles of prudence, transparency, and professionalism to ensure pilgrims’ funds remain secure while providing sustainable benefits for the organisation of Indonesian hajj worship.
To facilitate pilgrims in monitoring their hajj funds and value benefits, BPKH provides checking services through the BPKH Apps application.
