The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), through its Kemaslahatan Programme, has begun distributing thousands of humanitarian aid packages to communities affected by disasters in several areas of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The assistance covers food needs, clean water, hygiene supplies, temporary shelter and health services.

Distribution is being carried out in stages starting from 26 August 2026 through the Disaster Response Programme, involving three Kemaslahatan partners: PPPA Daarul Qur’an, DT Peduli and Rumah Zakat. Distribution is taking place in several affected districts, taking into account conditions and needs on the ground.

The support being distributed includes: 9,000 portions of food and water through public kitchens; three clean water distribution points, including water supply and storage tanks; 900 basic food packages; 900 hygiene kits; 900 shelter kits; six health service points; 900 packs of packaged shredded meat; and 900 cans of rendang.

The support reaches several affected areas. PPPA Daarul Qur’an is supporting distribution in Ngada Regency and East Manggarai Regency. DT Peduli is supporting distribution in Sikka Regency, Manggarai Regency and West Manggarai Regency. Meanwhile, Rumah Zakat is supporting distribution in Nagekeo Regency and East Manggarai Regency.

Head of the BPKH Executive Board, Fadlul Imansyah, stated that the aid distribution is part of BPKH’s commitment to delivering benefits to the community, including those facing emergency conditions due to disasters.

“Through the benefit value of the Dana Abadi Umat (DAU), BPKH carries out its mandate to deliver benefit to communities across Indonesia. One of these is through the Disaster Response Programme, as a form of care and effort to help affected communities rise and recover together,” said Fadlul, quoted on Friday, 28 August 2026.

According to him, disaster management requires collaboration from various parties so that aid can reach communities effectively and according to need. For this reason, BPKH is partnering with Kemaslahatan partners who have the capacity and implementation networks in the affected areas.

“Together we are present for NTT’s recovery. We hope this support can help ease the burden on communities while supporting the recovery process in affected areas,” said Fadlul.

Collaboration with Kemaslahatan partners is also part of efforts to expand the reach of programme benefits so that support can be delivered in a more targeted and responsive manner to community needs.
