BPKH and Rumah Zakat Deliver 300 Aid Packages to East Manggarai Earthquake Victims
The Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), together with its partner Rumah Zakat, distributed emergency response aid to residents affected by earthquakes in Waso Hamlet and Nagakeo Hamlet, East Manggarai Regency, on Monday (7/9/2026). The aid covers food requirements, hygiene, temporary housing, clean water, and health services for residents at the evacuation sites.
The distributed aid consists of 300 basic food packages, 300 hygiene kits, and 300 shelter kits to assist in the repair of temporary housing for residents. The field team also provided 3,000 ready-to-eat meal packages and 15,000 litres of clean water, while also opening free health service posts.
The distribution of aid was prioritised for vulnerable groups, such as infants, children, pregnant women, and the elderly. These groups face limitations regarding housing and access to sanitation facilities and healthcare services following the earthquake.
The aid is aimed at meeting the basic needs of survivors while they remain in evacuation centres. Food support, clean water, hygiene supplies, temporary housing, and health services are provided to support the condition of residents during the emergency response period.
BPKH and Rumah Zakat are also continuing to provide assistance to affected residents throughout the recovery process. The distribution of aid is being carried out gradually according to the needs of the communities in the affected areas.
