BPK to Implement AI-Powered Audit System Starting Next Year
The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) plans to implement artificial intelligence (AI) for its audit system. BPK will commence the AI-powered audit system next year. “Next year, ladies and gentlemen, we will trial a system called AIFOR. Artificial Intelligence Forecast Audit,” said BPK Chairman I Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana during the presentation of audit results at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections in South Jakarta on Monday (3/8/2026). Nyoman stated that he wants BPK’s audit results to be tested before they are delivered. Therefore, he said, the resulting reports will be complete with assessments from various related parties. “So the audits we provide to you are not just a matter of sampling and depth, but are already proven. They have incorporated opinions and assessments, involving many academics and others,” he said. Furthermore, Nyoman also wants to determine whether BPK’s audit results are truly of high quality. This will simultaneously assess BPK’s own performance. “We will also produce outcomes, one of which is to assess whether the quality of our recommendations is also increasing. So it is not just about auditing you and providing recommendations, but we will also evaluate ourselves,” he stated. He therefore hopes that every BPK audit finding can be followed up by ministries and agencies. According to him, this is crucial for the improvement of ministries and agencies. “We hope this improvement becomes a systemic one that impacts the ministries and institutions you lead,” he added.
