BPK to audit E. Java Military

SURABAYA: The State Audit Agency (BPK) started on Monday their audit of the Brawijaya Military Command overseeing security and order in East Java due to alleged financial leakages.

The five-man audit team from BPK, who were welcomed by the inspector at the Military Command, Col. Suwarso, will examine 42 units in the military headquarters until Nov. 29.

Military Command Chief Maj. Gen. A.D. Sikki said he would be cooperative with the auditors in the investigation of the case. --Antara
