BPK Praises BSSI as a Responsive Government Institution

Jakarta (ANTARA) - BPK member Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana stated that the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) has become an example of a responsive and responsible government institution. “BSSN has followed up on all recommendations provided by BPK thoroughly, making BSSN an example of a government institution that is responsive and responsible,” he said during the handover of the Audit Result Report (LHP) on BSSN’s 2025 Financial Report in Jakarta, Monday. The event was attended by Head of BSSN Nugroho Sulistyo Budi and his entire staff. BPK noted several positive achievements by BSSN throughout 2025, including BSSN being one of the fastest ministries/agencies to submit its 2025 Financial Report to BPK on time. Furthermore, BSSN contributed to the improvement of Indonesia’s 2025 Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI). “BSSN has followed up on all recommendations provided by BPK thoroughly, making BSSN an example of a government institution that is responsive and responsible,” Nyoman said. “This positive achievement should serve as a foundation to continuously improve accountability, transparency, and the quality of state financial management to provide greater benefits to the public and the country,” he added. In its audit of BSSN’s 2025 Financial Report, BPK gave an unqualified opinion (WTP), indicating that the financial report was presented fairly in all material respects in accordance with Government Accounting Standards (SAP). However, BPK still found several areas requiring improvement and attention from the leadership and all ranks of BSSN. These included the management of fixed assets that was not yet orderly and could not be optimally utilised, as well as discrepancies in the volume and technical specifications of goods and capital expenditure packages that resulted in overpayments. BPK provided strategic recommendations for improving financial governance at BSSN, including conducting an inventory of fixed assets whose whereabouts are unknown and cannot be utilised, and immediately depositing the overpayments into the state treasury in accordance with applicable regulations. Nyoman expressed hope that the leadership and all ranks of BSSN would follow up on BPK’s recommendations effectively and in a timely manner. “The audit not only assesses past compliance but also oversees the realisation of better state financial management in the future. Therefore, we hope that all BPK recommendations are followed up consistently to strengthen the internal control system, increase effectiveness, and provide real benefits to the public,” he said.
