BPK Penabur to hold concert

JAKARTA (JP): Christian education body BPK Penabur will hold a two-day musical concert called Simponi Emas at the plenary hall of the Jakarta Convention Center, Central Jakarta, starting this evening.

The concert, to be presented by 605 students of kindergartens to high schools managed by BPK Penabur, is held in conjunction with the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Indonesia's independence and the 45th birthday of BPK Penabur, Naniek Setijadi, chairperson of the organizing committee, said.

The concert is aimed at raising funds to help Christian schools in the eastern part of Indonesia, including Rantepao, South Sulawesi; Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara; and Tomohon, North Sulawesi, she said. (hhr)
