BPK: Merah Putih Cabinet Brings Transformation to Bureaucratic Structure
Jakarta (ANTARA) - BPK Chairman Isma Yatun stated that the establishment of the Merah Putih Cabinet brings significant transformation through the reorganisation of the bureaucratic structure, encompassing separations, mergers, and the formation of new ministries and institutions. The massive organisational dynamics directly affect the complexity of accounting entity governance, as well as financial reporting in 98 Ministry/Institution Financial Reports (LKKL) and one State General Treasurer’s Financial Report (LKBUN). “As a strategic partner to the government, BPK is committed to ensuring that the spirit of renewal in the Merah Putih Cabinet upholds the principle of accountability without flaws, to maintain the integrity of the state’s financial accountability,” she said at the handover event of the 2025 Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) and the 2025 LKPP Audit Entry Meeting at BPK Headquarters, Jakarta, on Tuesday. BPK, together with the government, will also ensure the positive impacts of efficiency implementation on improving the quality of expenditure and achieving national priority programmes. This timeliness is seen as reflecting the government’s high commitment to accounting for the implementation of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) for the greatest prosperity of the people. The LKPP is described as an important instrument to ensure transparency and accountability in state financial management as mandated by Law No. 17 of 2003 on State Finances and Law No. 1 of 2004 on the State Treasury. Isma Yatun said that the LKPP audit aims to provide an opinion on the fairness of the LKPP by considering four aspects, namely compliance with Government Accounting Standards (SAP), adequacy of disclosure, effectiveness of the internal control system, and compliance with legal regulations.
