Jakarta — The Supreme Audit Board (BPK) conducted entry meetings for the audit of 2025 Financial Statements at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (Kemenko Perekonomian), the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) acting as State Treasurer (BUN), the Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop), and the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Kementerian UMKM).

“This activity marks the beginning of the audit of the management and accountability of state finances in 2025 at each entity as part of the implementation of BPK’s constitutional mandate,” stated BPK Member II Daniel Lumban Tobing in an official statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Member II BPK explained that the audit is conducted under Law Number 17 of 2003 concerning State Finance, Law Number 15 of 2004 concerning the Audit of Management and Accountability of State Finance, and Law Number 15 of 2006 concerning BPK.

He described that the audit aims to provide an opinion on the fairness of 2025 Ministry/Institution Financial Statements whilst considering compliance with Government Accounting Standards, adequacy of disclosure, effectiveness of internal control systems, and adherence to applicable legal regulations.

This is in accordance with BPK Regulation Number 1 of 2017 and the BPK Code of Ethics under BPK Regulation Number 4 of 2018.

“We expect commitment, communication, and effective coordination from the Ministers and their staffs, so that this audit can proceed smoothly and be completed on time, thereby providing tangible benefits for improving transparency and accountability of state finances,” said Daniel.

The audit of 2025 Financial Statements at each ministry is conducted according to schedules established for each entity.
