'BPJS on the Go' Makes It Easier for the Public to Access JKN Service Information
Manado (ANTARA) - Sukira (29), a resident of Duyu Subdistrict, Palu City, Central Sulawesi, stated that ‘BPJS Keliling’ makes it easier for the public to access information on National Health Insurance (JKN) programme services.
“The presence of BPJS Keliling during Car Free Day (CFD) is very timely, as evidenced by the enthusiastic crowd of visitors,” said Sukira in Palu on Wednesday.
Sukira admitted to spending quite some time consulting with BPJS Keliling staff because there were matters she needed to inquire about regarding the service flow.
Her mother, who lives in Donggala Regency, had just completed inpatient treatment at one of the hospitals in Palu City due to a history of gastric acid issues and gallstones.
“I was confused whether I needed to transfer the puskesmas or return to the village to get a referral because she needs regular check-ups,” Sukira recounted.
She expressed great satisfaction with the information provided, as it was very clear and easy to understand, and her concerns about the healthcare facility where her mother was registered were ultimately resolved.
“For the time being, my mother is staying in Palu City because she needs regular check-ups, so her healthcare facility has been transferred here. The JKN programme services are already very good; the administration at the puskesmas and hospital is also very straightforward,” she added.
In the past, said Sukira, going to the hospital was daunting because, besides the high costs, the administrative processes were cumbersome.
“Now everything is easy; just showing the Identity Card (KTP) and everything is handled without any fees,” Sukira explained.
She hopes that ‘BPJS Keliling’ will always be present in crowded centres because it brings significant benefits.
“Joining CFD, getting healthy, and sorting out BPJS Kesehatan matters. By coming down directly like this, we feel closer and more attended to in terms of our rights, because BPJS Kesehatan staff don’t just sit in the office but seek out participants who need administrative services and information,” she said.
BPJS Kesehatan provides various service conveniences, one of which is through BPJS Keliling during the Car Free Day (CFD) event at Vatulemo Field in Palu City, held last Sunday (26/04).
BPJS Keliling adopts a proactive approach to facilitate participants in obtaining membership administrative services related to the National Health Insurance (JKN) Programme.
The public who face time constraints to visit BPJS Kesehatan offices or who have difficulty accessing digital services for various reasons can utilise ‘BPJS Keliling’.
“Besides administrative services, the public can also take advantage of information services by consulting directly with staff regarding the JKN programme. Thus, it is hoped that this activity can also increase public understanding of the JKN programme,” stated Rumondang.
