BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Wins Gold Award for Second Consecutive Year, Strengthening Transparency and Sustainability Commitment

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan has once again received international recognition by retaining the Gold Award at the Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) 2026 in the General Award category. The award was given for the quality of its 2024 Annual Integrated Report, which was deemed to meet the best international reporting standards in terms of transparency, accountability, governance, and sustainability. The award was announced during the ARA 2026 event held in Sydney, Australia, on 18 June 2026, and was officially received by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s Director of Finance and Risk Management, Bambang Joko Sutarto, in Jakarta. This achievement is particularly significant as it marks the second consecutive year BPJS Ketenagakerjaan has retained the Gold Award, the highest honour in the General Award category. Bambang Joko Sutarto stated that the award is international recognition of the institution’s consistency in delivering high-quality, transparent, and sustainability-oriented reporting. ‘We are grateful and proud to retain the Gold Award at the Australasian Reporting Awards for the second year in a row. This achievement is the result of the hard work of all BPJS Ketenagakerjaan personnel in building a culture of transparency, accountability, and good governance across all lines of the institution,’ said Bambang. He added that the award proves the quality of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s reporting meets stakeholder expectations while gaining recognition from the international reporting community. According to Bambang, the success in retaining the award is inseparable from the institution’s commitment to preparing reports that refer to various national and international standards and regulations, including the implementation of POJK Number 51/POJK.03/2017 on Sustainable Finance, the GRI Standards, and support for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The integrated report prepared by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan not only presents information on financial and operational performance but also illustrates how the institution creates long-term value through good governance, effective risk management, service innovation, and contributions to sustainable development. ‘The Integrated Report, titled Innovating With Integrity Fostering Loyalty, is not merely a reporting document but a medium of institutional accountability to all stakeholders. Through this report, we strive to show how BPJS Ketenagakerjaan carries out the state mandate to protect Indonesian workers in a transparent, measurable, and sustainable manner,’ Bambang added. He further explained that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is the only state institution from Indonesia that participated in and won an award at the ARA 2026 event. This achievement demonstrates that the institution’s reporting quality not only meets national standards but is also able to compete with various leading organisations from Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific region. The Australasian Reporting Awards is one of the most prestigious annual reporting awards in the Asia-Pacific region, having been held for more than seven decades. The assessment is conducted independently, considering various aspects ranging from information disclosure, governance quality, organisational strategy integration, risk management, sustainability performance, to the organisation’s ability to create value for stakeholders. The success in retaining the Gold Award for two consecutive years serves as motivation for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to continue improving the quality of its reporting and public information disclosure. Going forward, the institution will continue to strengthen good governance practices, enhance the quality of sustainability-based reporting, and ensure all business processes are carried out transparently and accountably. ‘Transparency and accountability are the main foundations for building public trust. This award encourages us to continue improving the quality of institutional governance and reporting. This achievement is also in line with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s 3C strategy, particularly in the Credibility aspect, which we build through information disclosure, accountable management, and a commitment to providing reliable protection for all Indonesian workers,’ concluded Bambang.
