BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Ensures Rights of Breastfeeding Mother Victim's Heirs in Train Accident
Amid the ongoing process of compensation and administration, there is profound grief for the family left behind. A child has lost her mother, a figure who daily fulfilled roles as both a worker and a parent.

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan has assured that all rights of the deceased are being processed in accordance with regulations. The total benefits received by the heirs amount to Rp 435 million, including education insurance worth Rp 166 million for the deceased’s two children up to higher education level.
The first child receives a scholarship of Rp 79 million to support education from Year 4 of primary school to higher education. Meanwhile, the second child, who is still very young, receives educational support of Rp 87 million, from kindergarten to higher education.
These scholarships are more than just figures. Amid great loss, this assistance becomes hope so that the education of Tutik’s two children can continue. Their aspirations still have space to grow, even though the mother who was their source of strength is no longer by their side.
Minister of Manpower Yassierli has conveyed deep condolences to the family of the deceased. He also reminded that work risks do not always occur at the workplace, but can also happen when workers are commuting to or from work.
“We pray for Mas Aji and the family to be strong in facing this calamity, and then for their two children to receive good, adequate education in the future, so they become the family’s pride. And this serves as a lesson for us all: first, we remind the importance of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participation, and second, we continue to urge companies to ensure all their employees join BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, because the compensation will be covered from commuting to work, at the workplace, and returning home,” said Yassierli in a written statement on Monday (4/5/2026).

Saiful also assured that the entire claims process for victims in that tragedy is proceeding quickly and accurately. He said BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is working proactively so that the heirs’ rights can be received immediately without obstacles.
“BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is committed to ensuring participants’ rights are provided quickly, accurately, and in accordance with regulations. In the case of the late Tutik Anitasari, we want to ensure that the family left behind does not face this grief alone. Not only compensation, but also the continuity of the children’s education through scholarships up to higher education is an important part of this protection,” Saiful concluded.
