Residents of Kepulauan Riau are financially free from worrying about healthcare costs. Tanjungpinang (ANTARA) - The BPJS Kesehatan Tanjungpinang City Branch in Kepulauan Riau Province (Kepri) continues to strive to improve the quality of services for Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) participants over time. “Alhamdulillah, from our evaluation results, the quality of JKN services shows positive development from year to year,” said Wyzri Andipo, Head of the Healthcare Facility Service Quality Division at the BPJS Kesehatan Tanjungpinang Branch, on Friday. The man familiarly known as Dipo explained that in terms of accessibility, the number of people in Kepri protected by the JKN programme has reached 98 percent, achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) through synergy with all stakeholders and the local government. As such, he said, residents of Kepri are financially free without needing to worry about costs for accessing healthcare services. “With digitalisation, patients can take a queue number for treatment from home, no longer needing to bother going to the hospital,” he stated. He further mentioned that BPJS Kesehatan has also simplified the healthcare service system, allowing hospitals to serve JKN participants without needing to show the physical JKN card. It is sufficient to bring an ID card. “Residents can seek treatment using an ID card or by showing their population registration number (NIK),” he explained. In addition, Dipo assured that BPJS Kesehatan continues to improve transparency of information and JKN services to the public. This is in line with the informative public body predicate given by the Information Commission (KI) to BPJS Kesehatan.
