BPJS Kesehatan is ready to collaborate with the Riau Islands Provincial Government and all related stakeholders to optimise healthcare services for the community.

Tanjungpinang (ANTARA) - Afif Johan, the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of BPJS Kesehatan, stated that the activity rate of participants in the National Health Insurance (JKN) programme in Riau Islands Province (Kepri) is among the highest in Indonesia, averaging 82 per cent.

“This indicates the success of the JKN programme in maintaining participant continuity, high public awareness in paying contributions, and equitable accessibility to healthcare services, particularly in Kepri,” said Afif Johan while accompanying the working visit of the Indonesian House of Representatives’ Commission IX to Tanjungpinang City, Kepri, on Thursday.

According to him, this high participant activity is accompanied by JKN coverage in the Kepri region achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC), or universal health coverage, at 97.35 per cent.

Afif explained that out of a total population of 2,334,574 in Kepri, 2,272,667 people (97.35 per cent) are registered with JKN, while 61,907 remain unregistered.

Afif Johan emphasised that BPJS Kesehatan is ready to collaborate with the Kepri Provincial Government and all related stakeholders to optimise healthcare services for the community.

In general, he said, the implementation of the JKN programme in this border area is running safely and smoothly.

BPJS Kesehatan continues to strive to improve and enhance the quality of services to the community through various innovations, such as the Mobile JKN application.

Afif also urged all levels of society using BPJS Kesehatan services to continue supporting the JKN programme, in line with its tagline “with the spirit of mutual cooperation, everyone can be helped”.

He assured that BPJS Kesehatan is very open to various complaints and questions from the public regarding information on JKN healthcare services.

“We have various official channels, or you can come directly to the BPJS Kesehatan Branch Office. We are ready to help,” Afif Johan concluded.
