BPJS Kesehatan organised a ‘3K Fun Walk’ in collaboration with the Pentahelix Social Security elements alongside members of the community at the Car Free Day (CFD) area in Kuningan, South Jakarta, today. The agenda was held to promote a healthy lifestyle while simultaneously increasing public understanding regarding the importance of the National Health Insurance (JKN) programme.

The Director of Membership at BPJS Kesehatan, Akmal Budi Yulianto, stated that this activity serves as a promotive and preventive measure to encourage the public to maintain their health from an early age. Furthermore, the group walk serves as a space for interaction, education, and strengthening synergy between stakeholders in increasing social security awareness.

“This is a BPJS Kesehatan agenda for promotive and preventive purposes to maintain our collective health. Health is expensive, so a healthy lifestyle needs to be built early, from dietary habits to daily activities,” Akmal said in a written statement on Sunday (27/9/2026).

According to him, the involvement of various community elements is vital in building shared awareness regarding health and the sustainability of the JKN Programme. This collaboration is expected to expand education and encourage the public to play an active role in maintaining health.

“We want to bring ourselves closer to the community while inviting various elements, including Karang Taruna, the government, business actors, and other stakeholders, to work together in supporting the strengthening of JKN and maintaining public health. The hope is that healthy living habits can begin from a young age so that the risk of disease and the burden of future healthcare costs can be reduced,” he added.

On this occasion, Akmal encouraged the public to utilise various BPJS Kesehatan service channels, both in-person and digital. Participants can access non-face-to-face services through the WhatsApp PANDAWA service at 0811-8165-165, the 165 Care Centre, and various features within the Mobile JKN application.

The Assistant for People’s Welfare of the Jakarta Provincial Regional Secretary, Ali Maulana Hakim, appreciated the implementation of this Fun Walk. In his view, efforts to maintain health require the involvement of all parties and should not be the sole responsibility of the government or health-related institutions.

“Health is not just the business of the government or BPKS Kesehatan, but it is everyone’s responsibility. We must not let a situation arise where only the government is healthy, but the people are not,” he explained.

Ali added that the existence of health insurance must be accompanied by public awareness to maintain health. He noted that having protection through health insurance should not lead the public to neglect prevention and healthy lifestyles.

“We must not let the existence of insurance make us complacent. The concept is that we all maintain our health together. Today, we are exercising and maintaining health together, so that Jakarta can become a healthy and resilient city,” said Ali.

During the event, participants could obtain information regarding Health History Screening to recognise disease risk factors early. This education is expected to encourage the public to become more concerned about their health conditions and implement sustainable healthy lifestyles.

One of the Fun Walk participants, Ayudia, expressed her pleasure in participating in the event. She noted that the Fun Walk was an opportunity to exercise while gaining information about the JKN Programme.

“Initially, I only wanted to join the Fun Walk, but it turns out there was also a Mobile BPJS unit. So, I took the opportunity to ask about the process of changing my mother’s participant data. Previously, my mother’s healthcare facility was in Bogor, and I wanted to move it to Jakarta. I was guided by the officers through Mobile JKN and it turned out to be easy. So, I gained health benefits and ease in managing BPJS Kesehatan,” she concluded.
