BPJS Kesehatan Leadership Meets KPK to Discuss Enhanced Anti-Corruption Cooperation

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The leadership of the Health Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) met with representatives of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to discuss enhancing cooperation in corruption prevention, following the expiration of the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions.

“We have had an MoU for a long time, and it expires in March 2026, so there is an urgency to continue it immediately. Therefore, we are here today to extend it,” said BPJS Kesehatan President Director Prihati Pujowaskito at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Wednesday.

In the extended MoU, he said, the institution is committed to preventing and taking action against fraud in the healthcare financing ecosystem of BPJS Kesehatan.

Additionally, he said BPJS Kesehatan is collaborating with the KPK to develop guidelines for identifying corruption risks.

He also stated that BPJS Kesehatan will increase the number of anti-corruption counsellors, and the KPK has committed to assisting with this.

“Then there is PANCEK. This is the Corruption Prevention Guide. We will also implement this, the KPK’s PANCEK,” Prihati said.

Finally, he said BPJS Kesehatan will enforce the whistleblowing system.

“We will enforce it again. Any cases that need to be forwarded to the KPK, we will forward them,” he stated.

According to him, these commitments will be undertaken by BPJS Kesehatan to enhance integrity and ensure accountability for every rupiah of funds managed for healthcare financing.

Echoing the BPJS Kesehatan President Director, KPK Deputy for Information and Data Eko Marjono confirmed the discussions between the two institutions.

“The arrival of the President Director and his team is indeed in the context of enhancing cooperation between the KPK and BPJS Kesehatan, particularly regarding anti-corruption prevention,” said Eko.
