BPJS Kesehatan ensures easy and rapid registration for Berani Sehat programme
Palu (ANTARA) - BPJS Kesehatan Palu, Central Sulawesi, has ensured that the registration process for the public under the Berani Serol programme is easy and fast through the use of the Sehati application at healthcare facilities.
The Head of BPJS Kesehatan Palu Branch, Endang Triana Simanjuntak, stated in Palu on Saturday that every healthcare facility has been equipped with the Sehati application to facilitate the registration process for the programme.
“The registration process is very easy and fast. Each healthcare facility is equipped with the Sehati application. The public only needs to bring population documents containing a valid National Identification Number (NIK), such as an ID card (KTP) or Family Card (Kartu Keluarga),” she said.
She noted that this ease of registration is part of the integration of the Berani Sehat regional health insurance programme into the National Health Insurance (JKN) system, which adheres to national regulations.
Endang explained that this integration positions BPJS Kesehatan as the technical manager for membership premiums, which are fully covered by the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government.
According to her, the integration also provides insurance certainty for members of the public who do not yet have health insurance or those experiencing inactive JKN membership status.
“Members of the public who do not yet have health insurance or whose JKN card status is inactive can be registered under the Berani Sehat programme, provided they are willing to be treated in Class III wards,” she added.
Under this scheme, the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government pays the membership premiums for the public to BPJS Kesehatan.
Once the premiums are active, BPJS Kesehatan also disburses payments directly to the healthcare service providers.
She added that for First-Level Healthcare Facilities (FKTP), such as community health centres (puskesmas) and primary clinics, payments are made through the capitation scheme.
