BPJS Kesehatan Batam encourages participants to utilise screening via JKN Mobile

Batam (ANTARA) - BPJS Kesehatan Branch in Batam, Riau Islands (Kepri), is encouraging the public to be more proactive in maintaining their health by utilising the health history screening feature available in the JKN Mobile application.

Head of Human Resources, General Affairs, and Communications at BPJS Kesehatan Batam Branch, Ilham, stated in Batam on Friday that independent health screening through this application serves as an initial step in detecting potential disease risks early.

By identifying health conditions sooner, he said, participants can promptly take appropriate preventive or treatment measures.

He added that this digital access is expected to raise public awareness of the importance of early detection. Moreover, screening can be conducted anytime without needing to visit healthcare facilities directly.

Ilham also emphasised that the screening results are not a medical diagnosis but rather an initial recommendation that can be followed up with further examinations at Primary Healthcare Facilities (FKTP).

“The public does not need to wait until they are ill to seek treatment. Instead, through this screening, we encourage healthy living patterns and early detection to maintain quality of life,” he said.

Furthermore, BPJS Kesehatan Batam is inviting all JKN participants to download and activate the JKN Mobile application as part of the digital transformation of more convenient, quick, and transparent health services.

By leveraging this technology, he stated, promotional and preventive efforts in the JKN system are expected to become more optimal and capable of reducing the incidence of chronic diseases in society.
