BPJS Health to Open Mudik Posts from 13-26 March 2026, Here Are the Locations
JAKARTA — BPJS Kesehatan will establish temporary healthcare posts that will operate throughout the Idul Fitri 1447 Hijri holiday period from 13-26 March 2026.
“From 13 to 26 March, during that entire period we will open mudik posts at eight locations that we consider high-traffic and congested areas,” said BPJS Kesehatan Director General Mayjen TNI (Ret.) Prihati Pujowaskito at a press conference at BPJS Central Office, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, on 9 March 2026.
Pujowaskito explained that the BPJS healthcare posts are open to members of the public who may experience fatigue or headaches during their journey home to their home villages.
“These healthcare posts can provide health consultation services, relaxation facilities for travellers, basic health checks, medication supply, ambulance services, and simple emergency procedures,” he said.
“We have selected the post locations at congested, high-traffic areas where many people rest, so they can benefit from the services,” he added.
Pujowaskito pledged to facilitate healthcare membership access even during the Lebaran holiday period.
“We will ensure that our directors and officers check the readiness of the posts in the field,” he said.
In the same press conference, Abdi Kurniawan Purba, Director of Health Services Assurance at BPJS Kesehatan, stated that JKN participants can still access healthcare services even whilst outside their area of domicile.
If the primary health centres (Puskesmas), clinics, and family doctors where participants are registered are closed or participants are outside their city, they can still receive healthcare services at other partner primary care facilities (FKTP) operated by BPJS Kesehatan that remain open.
BPJS Kesehatan also ensures continuity of care for participants with chronic illnesses, including those enrolled in the Return Referral Programme (Programme Rujuk Balik/PRB).
Abdi noted that participants can obtain chronic disease medications at hospitals and PRB medications at primary care facilities in accordance with applicable regulations.
“Treatment can continue without disruption throughout the Lebaran holiday period,” he said.
