In preparation for the upcoming joint leave period and Eid holiday next week, BPJS Kesehatan Head of Public Relations Rizzky Anugerah reminded JKN Programme participants to undergo health history screening. Notably, from 6 March 2026, JKN participants who have not completed health history screening in 2026 will be required to complete it before accessing services at Primary Health Care Facilities (FKTP).

“Health history screening is important for detecting the risk of chronic diseases that may be experienced by the community, especially given that the trend of chronic disease sufferers is increasingly affecting younger populations. Therefore, BPJS Kesehatan has introduced this screening service. The earlier detection occurs, the sooner it can be anticipated and treated,” Rizzky explained in a written statement on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

Rizzky explained that the public can undergo health history screening through the Mobile JKN Application, the Administrative Services chat service via WhatsApp (PANDAWA) at 08118165165, through the website www.bpjs-kesehatan.go.id, or by visiting their registered FKTP directly.

“In this screening, JKN participants will be directed to answer several questions regarding lifestyle, their own disease history, and family health history. The process is quite brief, ranging from 5-10 minutes,” he said.

Throughout January-February 2026, Rizzky explained that at least 22.68 million JKN participants have undergone health history screening. Of that number, approximately 7.1 million JKN participants (39%) were identified as at-risk of experiencing hypertension, stroke, and heart disease.

For this reason, Rizzky also urged those JKN participants to visit their registered FKTP to undergo examination or receive further treatment from a doctor.

“Health history screening is conducted once a year for JKN participants aged 15 years and above. Our hope is that the implementation of health history screening can raise public awareness to pay more attention to their health. This preventive and promotional culture also needs to be supported through the active involvement of FKTPs as public health promoters,” said Rizzky.

On another note, Rizzky also reminded the public to regularly check the active status of their JKN membership. The method for checking JKN membership status can be done through PANDAWA, the Mobile JKN Application, or BPJS Kesehatan Care Center 165.

“Whilst still healthy, take the time to check your JKN membership status. The process does not take long, but it is important to do so as to avoid obstacles when suddenly falling ill. If our JKN membership status is active, there is already certainty of financing coverage from BPJS Kesehatan whenever JKN participants need immediate health services,” Rizzky concluded.
