BPJS Health prepares ease of JKN service access during Lebaran holiday
PURWOKERTO — The Social Security Administration Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) is preparing various service enhancements for the National Health Insurance Programme (JKN) during the 2026 Lebaran holiday period to ensure participants can continue to access healthcare and membership administrative services, including during the homecoming travel period.
Niken Sawitri, Head of BPJS Kesehatan’s Purwokerto branch in Banyumas district, Central Java, stated on Tuesday that various service enhancements have been arranged to ensure participants receive healthcare and membership administrative services throughout the Lebaran holiday period.
According to her, the public can access various membership administrative services online through the Mobile JKN application, Administrative Services via WhatsApp (Pandawa) at number 08118165165, and the 165 Care Centre.
“The public can easily access membership administrative services independently, ranging from checking membership status, updating personal data, to various other administrative services without having to visit the BPJS Kesehatan office directly,” she said.
For members experiencing difficulties accessing services online, BPJS Kesehatan’s Purwokerto branch will also provide face-to-face services on 18, 20, 23, and 24 March 2026 from 08:00 to 13:30 local time.
“We also urge the public to ensure their JKN membership is in active status,” she said.
She noted that active membership status is important to ensure participants do not experience difficulties when requiring healthcare services at facilities during the homecoming journey or whilst in their hometown.
Additionally, JKN programme participants can continue to access healthcare services even when outside their registered area. “If the health centre, clinic, or family doctor where a participant is registered is closed, or if the participant is outside their city, they can still receive healthcare services at other first-level healthcare facilities (FKTP) partnering with BPJS Kesehatan that are operating, with a maximum of three visits per month,” she said.
To help participants locate the nearest healthcare facility, participants can utilise the healthcare facility location search feature through the Mobile JKN application.
