Jakarta (ANTARA) – BPJS Kesehatan has reminded participants in the National Health Insurance Program (JKN) to conduct health history screening as preparation for entering the joint leave and Eid holiday period next week.

“Health history screening is important for detecting the risk of chronic diseases that people may experience, especially as the trend of chronic disease sufferers is also experienced by younger people. Therefore, BPJS Kesehatan provides this screening service. The sooner it is detected, the sooner it can be anticipated and handled,” said BPJS Kesehatan Head of Public Relations Rizzky Anugerah, in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Rizzky stated that throughout January-February 2026, at least 22.68 million JKN participants had completed health history screening. Of this number, approximately 7.1 million or 39 percent of JKN participants were identified as at risk of experiencing hypertension, stroke, and heart disease.

He urged JKN participants identified at risk to immediately visit their registered primary healthcare facility (FKTP) to undergo examination or receive further treatment from a doctor.

He explained that the public can conduct health history screening through the JKN Mobile Application, the Administrative Services chat through WhatsApp (PANDAWA) at number 08118165165, through the website www.bpjs-kesehatan.go.id, or by directly visiting the FKTP where the participant is registered.

“Health history screening is carried out once a year for JKN participants aged 15 years and above. Our hope is that the implementation of this health history screening can build community awareness to care more about their health. This preventive and promotional culture also needs to be supported through the active involvement of FKTP as promoters of community health,” he said.

Starting 6 March 2026, he said, JKN participants who have not undergone health history screening in 2026 will be asked to complete it before accessing services at primary healthcare facilities (FKTP).

On another note, Rizzky also reminded the public to routinely check their JKN membership status. The method of checking JKN membership status can be done through PANDAWA, the JKN Mobile Application, or the BPJS Health Care Center 165.
