Rizzky assured that BPJS Health contributions have not changed and still refer to the applicable regulations under Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 64 of 2020 on the Second Amendment to Perpres No. 82 of 2018 concerning Health Insurance. “Up to the present time, the contribution amounts still refer to the previous amounts in accordance with the regulations that remain in effect,” explained Rizzky. BPJS Health participation is divided into three categories. Here are the amounts for each BPJS Health contribution category. PBI is the category for poor or indigent individuals. By regulation, the contribution is set at Rp 42,000 per month, but the entire cost is covered by the government, either through the central government’s APBN or local government’s APBD. PBI participants receive free Class 3 health services without needing to pay monthly contributions. PPU participants are those who work and receive wages from employers, such as civil servants, TNI/Polri members, BUMN and BUMD employees, or private company workers.
